The Turkish Statistical Institute have released the latest round of statistics for the country’s metal industry, revealing that the producer price index for the domestic metal industry saw a 6.42% increase between the months of November and December.
This month on month increase was complemented by a 23.68% increase in PPI in December 2010 when compared to the same month in 2009, leading to an average increase in the last 12 months of 18.01%.
There was also an increase in domestic metal product manufacture, including sheet metal work and metal presswork. The PPI increased by 0.98% over November, while also seeing a year on year increase of 0.70%.
