The Titanium Valley in Russia is looking to attract further investors and companies after the Okuma Corporation from Japan announced that they will be building a machine tool factory in what is considered a special economic zone in the Russian Urals.
The Titanium Valley was conceived as a modern industrial cluster and is based on the Kachkanar iron ore deposits. The Russians intend for the area to become a prime production base for chemical, aircraft and railway machine-building. They also wish to attract those in the non-ferrous metal industry and nuclear power industry.
The zone offers special tax and customs privileges to all who set up there.
