An increase in production from the metal and energy manufacturing sectors has led to Finland’s industrial production increasing throughout the month of November. However the rate of the increase slowed in comparison to October, suggesting a slight drop in demand for metal press work and sheet metal services.
Industrial output increased a working day adjusted 6.2% year-on-year in November. This was slower than the 10.8% growth experienced throughout the month of October, however it is still very encouraging as the statistics show growth for the seventh consecutive month in the metal and industrial industry.
The energy industry recorded the largest growth of any in November, recording a 14% output growth. This was closely followed by the metal industry, which saw a rise of 13.8% in the same period, excluding metal press uses in the electrical industry.
