Provisional data released by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey has stated that the overal utilisation of the Turkish metal industry’s basic metal manufacturing resources has decreased since April 2010.
Metal manufacturing in the country is currently operating at around 76%. While this is an increase on the 75.3% figure released in March, it is still a 3% drop from the same time last year.
However the capacity utilisation rate in the manufacture of metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, has risen to 71.3% over the 65.1% figure of April 2010.
